Hi! I’m Toby

My full formal name is Tobias Stephan Reckstadt. I am a coach and digital creator. I am 45 years old. I grew up in Germany and live in London in the UK. I am a British citizen. I moved with my wife and our first 2 children to the UK around 10 years ago. I have been married for around 20 years. My wife and I have 4 children together. They are 22, 15, 6 and 4 years old.
I have ADHD. I have been formally diagnosed with ADHD in mid-life. My now achieved knowledge of what ADHD is and having realized now why I have felt and behaved all my life how I did has been the most impactful realization of my life - directly with the other most impactful realization that my old concern appears realistic to me by now: that we all or at least most of us might die one day - and some of us some sooner than others.
In light of that I see it as very important that we are kind to each other and that we again and again shift our focus back on forgiveness and being grateful for every single day, for every moment we can experience in which we do not have to suffer overwhelming pain.
And I also see it as important to again and again remember that children are born every day, that we all were born. To not lose the balance it is crucial to remember that death is only there because there is birth. That might sound obvious.
But if you let it sink in for a bit it might become clearer that this apparently simple connection actually has a lot of depth and meaning. Life seems to stream out of this world. But is also seems to stream in.
I like the analogy, that we, all humans, actually all living things, are all fingers of the same hand.
